Introduction

Lactation which is the final phase of reproduction is characterized by milk synthesis and milk secretion. Milk synthesis involves the process whereby milk secreting cells (alveoli) convert milk precursors in the blood into milk. the precursors include amino acids, fatty acids, glucose etc.
